![]() You don't need and shouldn't want these extraneous items. We're here for chicken (and beer - don't worry, they haven't run out of frozen mugs yet). "Is the coleslaw good? How're the dinner rolls? Do they have good appetizers?" None of these questions are relevant. On a summer Saturday night it will be standing room only waiting for a table. You can smell it when you get out of your car. But this is broasted chicken at its finest. It's a hole in the wall with very few frills (I am fond of the classic Indiana basketball memorabilia) and frequently the host is the grumpiest man in the world. My family has been eating here for 40 years, and I clearly remember a time when they didn't have a menu. this is my favorite spot, hands down, no question. Based on the comments of the previous posters, I can't be friends with any of them. I always judge whether I can be friends with someone by their reaction to being taken to Enochsburg for fired chicken. I don't know it just seemed wierd.Īnyway, pretty good food, ecspecially the fries and fried chicken, but pretty poor waitress. She knew all of the other people in our room by first name and was carrying on conversations with them, but she was acting very standoffish to us. They are good at getting a refill of your drink if you are almost empty, but the last time that we went we got a pretty rude waitress and she wasn't very friendly to us. The waitress is what makes these experiences a four star. We never know whether to go inside to wait to be seated or to wait in the lobby. The man that seats you is ancient so he is a little cranky, as most older people are. The only rolls that I have had that are better than theirs are the rolls at Bob Evans. I think that they have some of the better rolls. They don't start making the food until you order it. It also takes us about 20 minutes to drive there and about 30 minutes for the chicken to cook. ![]() My family and I probably eat here a few times a year but not often because we lead busy lives and cannot make it often. There fries are different and taste good as do all other fries. And to previous reviewers: Duh it's greasy, all chicken is greasy other wise it is going to be dried out. This restaurant is in Enochsburg, IN so it isn't that far from Greensburg. For me and my family it is nearly the exact opposite.
